According to a recent study, researchers found that for a few weeks after receiving a traffic ticket, a driver’s chances of being killed in an automobile accident decrease by 35 percent. The reason might be that drivers tend to be more cautious and drive slower after getting a speeding ticket. The study published in the Lancet, a British medical journal, compared 10 million drivers in Ontario, Canada, including nearly 9,000 involved in fatal accidents during an 11-year period.
